On the last Saturday of each month,
(weather permitting), we organise minibus travel to a mountain
area in Scotland to walk up at least one 'Munro'. The aim
of the programme is to just get away from it all, spend some
time in fellowship on the mountains, walking, relaxing and
enjoying creation.
We welcome walkers of all ages and experience but stress that
walks are
undertaken at your own risk and YMCA accepts no responsibility
or liability whatsoever for those who join a walk. Walks
should only be undertaken by:
1. People who are physically fit
2. People who are not afraid of heights
3. People who are well equipped
(water proofs, boots, etc)
4. People who agree to the MCofS Participation statement:
"Climbing and mountaineering are
activities with a danger of personal injury or death.
Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept
these risks and be responsible for their own actions and
involvement."
Please do contact us if you would like to join a walk or be
added to our mailing list by emailing
