When
George Williams founded the YMCA, in London, in 1844 his aim
was simple – to bring Jesus Christ into the lives of young
people. Since then the YMCA has grown, world-wide, into one of the
largest non-governmental movements in the world with over 30
million member! Operating
in 130 countries world-wide, the YMCA is one of only two NGOs
to hold a seat at the United Nations.
You can become part of this movement by becoming a
member of Aberdeen YMCA whether that be a Full, Associate
